Dr. Knupp is a Distinguished Member of the Technical Staff at Sandia National Laboratories. His primary research interest is applied and computational mathematics, with emphasis on accurate, robust, and fast numerical algorithms. Specialties are Mesh Generation & Optimization, Verification & Validation (V & V), and numerical subsurface flow. He is co-author of the textbook "The Fundamentals of Grid Generation" and co-author of the book "Verification of Computer Codes in Computational Science and Engineering."
