Don Middleton leads the Visualization and Enabling Technologies program in NCAR’s Computational and Information Systems Laboratory. This program focuses upon the development and delivery of effective data management, analysis, and visualization cyberinfrastructure for the geosciences community. As part of this program, Middleton serves as PI/co-PI on the DOE-sponsored Earth System Grid, NCAR’s Community Data Portal, the NSF-sponsored Virtual Solar-Terrestrial Observatory and Earth System Curator projects, and on the multi-agency North American Regional Climate Change Assessment Program. Middleton is also currently contributing to the World Meteorological Organization’s development of its future Weather Information System.
