Dr. Ramanan Sankaran is a PostDoctoral Researcher at the Sandia National Laboratories, Livermore, CA. He received a M.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and a Ph.D in Mechanical engineering from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. At Sandia, he is currently working on direct numerical simulations of turbulent combustion, with a focus on understanding the role of turbulence-chemistry interactions in lean premixed flames. His research interests include combustion, CFD, numerical methods, parallel computing and visualization.
