Christine Davies is head of the particle physics theory group at the University of Glasgow, Scotland, but has spent significant amounts of time working at Cornell University, the Ohio State University and the University of California at Santa Barbara. She is a member of both the UK-wide UKQCD collaboration and of the US-Canada-UK HPQCD collaboration, both of which work on the numerical simulations of the theory of the strong force. Last year she was awarded the Rosalind Franklin Prize by the Royal Society for her work.
