George F. Bertsch University of Washington

George F. Bertsch is a Professor of Physics at the University of Washington. He received his PhD at Princeton University in 1966 and has had academic appointments there as well as at MIT and Michigan State University before coming to University of Washington to join its Institute for Nuclear Theory. He was awarded the American Physical Society's Bonner Prize in 2004, given for outstanding contributions to nuclear structure and reactions.
