Toshikazu Takada

RIKEN

He was born in Shizuoka, Japan in 1947. He received his Ph. D (Quantum Chemistry) from Hokkaido University in 1979. After his experiences as postdoctoral at UBC, LBL and University of Chicago, he joined Fundamental Research Lab, NEC Corporation in 1983 and then leaded the NEC quantum chemistry group to develop their original ab initio molecular orbital code named AMOSS. During his occupation at NEC, he served for IUPAP C20 (Computational Physics) as Vice-Chairman and Chairman for nine years. Now, he is involved in the next generation supercomputer project at RIKEN.
