Biography
Robert is the leader of the Accelerator Modeling and Advanced Computing (AMAC) Program in the Center for Beam Physics at Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. He received his Master's and Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Maryland (1987) under the guidance of Professor Alex Dragt. His research interests include accelerator and beam physics, nonlinear dynamics, computational science, and parallel computing. He served as the Chair of the Executive Committee of the NERSC User Group, and was also co-PI of the DOE SciDAC project, Advanced Computing for 21st Century Accelerator Science and Technology.
